Timaeus Fire Pit

Atelier Varadinum

Furniture Design Timaeus Fire Pit by Atelier Varadinum Two words that would characterize this model are: elegant and robust. It is designed so that it can be assembled like a modular origami made out of metal. A graphic methaphor of the fire element, as described in Plato’s dialogues, stands at it’s base that is derived from a triangular pyramid. The discreet symbols of earth, air and water, complementary to fire, that are represented on the three support elements, are a reminder of the ancient wisdom of Greek philosophers. This geometric metaphor of fire is made to give shelter to the same element.
