The 3D printed shoes. by ZOE JIA-YU DAI The shoe collection was to discover ways and limitations in 3-D printing technology to push the boundaries of these constraints and change these processes of the footwear manufacturing. It is clear that 3-D printing technology can not only achieve footwear production, but also allow a large amount of flexibility in the design stage, as well as allowing me as a shoe designer to push the limits of design structures. This collection could be part of the further development of using this technology in design and manufacturing processes, and in particular in relation to the production of footwear.
