Lemma Lah Seating Area

Rania M Hamed

Furniture Design Lemma Lah Seating Area by Rania M Hamed This contemporary seating ‘lemmalah’ was inspired by the very basic form of Arabic script; Kofi writing. The passion for the written script, the art of ‘khat’ constitutes a fundamental trait of Arabic culture that is so powerful, it elevates every living experience. The Kofi letters and script were used to configure this contemporary seating. Written in Kofi script the word “lemma Lah” (why not), flows in the space with its intimate proportions and sinuous curves. So we ask Why not? “Some men see things as they are and say why, I dream things that never were and say why not.” G.B.S.
